Click Fraud

Click Fraud

Click Fraud

Click Fraud

Some website owners or bloggers are getting their Google Adsense accounts suspended indefinitely or terminated when they themselves have done nothing wrong to warrant such pealty. However, with the allure of making money with Adsense, the majority would definitely want to get back into the Adsense business (if only they can get back again). But the best way to prevent such penalty, one should do things that are conducive to “Anti-Click-Fraud” and thereby minimizing such penalties from taking place.

So what is Click Fraud?

Click Fraud (also commonly known as Pay-Per-Click Fraud or PPC Fraud) is the practice of artificially inflating traffic statistics through various means to defraud advertisers. In the usual Pay-Per-Click advertising model, advertisers remunerate a fee for each click on their links. Google Adsense is aware of this notorious practice, thus do not tolerate such act to protect the interests of the advertisers.

How can you foreseen without getting involved in such fraud?

The majority of the web hosts offers access logs. When you find any suspicious activity on your site, it is advisable that you hand over such access logs to Google. It helps to have a click monitoring software. If you do not have one, you are encouraged to get because most of this software is free. As usual, send all this information you have gathered to Google. Such problem is serious cause you would like Google to trust that you are assisting them and in no way a part of the suspicious activity.

On a regular basis, try to study your server logs and monitor for any activity that may seem suspicious. Should you find anything odd, do report to them.

Also you may want to contemplate disabling ads for your own IP address as well as local geographic area. This will help to prevent accidents and Google will not mistake another user as you. You can do through a htaccess file. This will also prevent Google from thinking you had clicked on your own ads and be penalized for it.

There are times when you had inadvertently clicked on your own ads, just be truthful and admit to Google whether it is accidentally or intentionally that you had clicked on them.

Also keep your Adsense from “Pop Ups” and “Pop Unders”. Your ads should not be displayed on content sites that promote illegal activities, adult, gambling or tampering of business or people’s legal rights and others that are listed in Adsense Program Policies.

No matter how close your relationship with your family, relatives, friends and colleagues, don’t ever tell them about your Adsense campaigns on your website or blog. This may sound really cold and anti-social. Due to their sheer ignorance of what Adsense is all about and also the dire consequence they may land you, they would be so naturally enthusiastic in helping you to earn more money by clicking repetitively on your ads in your website or blog without you knowing. When such things happen, you may become a helpless victim of suspected click fraud. So just be forewarned and not be sorry for something you can control right from the beginning.

Generally, Pay-Per-Click networks have various measures and resources to protect website owners or bloggers to fight against click frauds. Other search engines can track several data points, browser’s information, IP addresses, user’s session information and its pattern recognition. They also have specialized “systems” in place to detect fraud, monitor and helping advertisers to stop click frauds.

Google in its own website offers essential suggestions on how to avoid click fraud. Using “negative keywords” can be used to keep your Adsense from displaying on products and services that are not related to yours. Also adding tracking URLs to your links will assist you to track traffic coming from Google.

Armed with all these information of how you can potentially prevent yourself from being caught with click fraud, be forewarned now and apply whatever you can and not become an unwilling victim.

how to cheat adsense

Don’t Cheat Google Adsense

If your thinking of cheating  Adsense, don’t.  Google has the resources and money to track anyone that tries to cheat them.  You may get away with it at the beginning, but over a short time you will get
caught and you account will be terminated.  Here are some things not to do and what Google looks for.

Ip Address

If your clicking on your Adsense clicks on your site, from the same Ip Address you signed up with Google Adsense.  Be expected to see a flag on your Adsense account.

Cookies

The best way to get a new IP Address for any computer, all you have to do is disconnect and reconnect and you will get a new IP address.  But just remember that Google has set cookies on your computer that tracks
you every move on the internet.

Google Services

Still thinking about how to cheat adsense.  Think again, Google can trace your activity when you click on your GMail, Google Earth, Google Calendar, Google search, etc.  All these Google Services are all linked together.
Whenever you sign in with one of these services on any computer.  They know you are online on another computer.

Click Pattern that Google watches for

  1. a person is clicker happy on this particular website but never seems to click on any other ads on the internet.
  2. a person directs themselves to the url and tend to click actively on the ads.
  3. a person tends to click the ads and then leave the site. Like a hit and run.

CTR(Click Through Rate)

A good CTR rate would be between .5 to 10%.  Any higher than 10% then your site will be flagged

Geo Location

If you ever used Google Analytics, you can see where all your visitors are coming from.  Australia to Canada to the states.  If Google sees there is a high clicking rate in a small Geo point. You will get banned.

Search Engine Ranking

If your website is not register to any of the search engines and are not linked to any other websites.  And your getting high traffic to your site well get clicks on your ads, Google wil put a flag up and may
disable your account.  Is it still worth how to cheat adsense.

Your Webpage design

Placing text beside Google ads like”click here” or “support us” will diffidently bring flags your way.

how to cheat adsense, no way to cheat adsense

Don’t spend all your time cheating adsense.  Is it really worth spending hours, days, months on a website and then get banned from adsense.  It’s not a get rich system.  Monetizing your site will take time, results will
come for those who wait.

Adbrite vs Adsense

Adbrite vs Adsense

Adbrite vs Adsense

Adbrite vs Adsense

Who will win Adbrite vs Adsense?

This article I will discuss some difference between, Adbrite vs Adsense.  I have been using Adsense on my site for the past several years now.  My payout has been good and it has been very easy pasting Google Adsense code into my website.  I heard of adbrite in the past, Adbrite seems to be getting popular all the time.  I don’t think Adbrite will ever match up to Adsense, but you never know.

Does money matter, Adbrite vs Adsense?

Of course it does, if I wasn’t writing this article, it would be a waste of my time.  But I do write articles to help people out in other areas.  One of the most important part of advertisement ads on any site is to
generate a steady income.  Any business, webmaster and website developers except a return on their hard work.

Google vs Adbrite

Adbrite is targeted to sites that gets alot of traffic but a low number of clicking going on with the advertising ads.  Adbrite system allows you too get paid per 1000 views to you site instead of clicks.  Pageviews becomes more
important  to you with Adbrite, while Adsense pays for how many clicks you get on the ad you placed on your site.
Adsense is targeted to viewers that are interested in the content of your site.  Meaning ads will display related topics that are on your site, that may help visitors find more information on the topic they are reading.  Like I said early, Adsense only pays on how many clicks you get not how many views you receive.  Adsense has a lower CPM rate for visitors from outside North America and Europe.

How can I get views?

Adbrite has more options to choose from that will suit different sites on the web.  One option you can do is, use Full Page option from Adbrite.  This option will display an advertisement on a full page, you will receive 1000 views from this.  The bad thing about full page option is that, it may get annoying and visitors will not return to your site.  Adbrite has another option where you can use images to display ads.
Adsense has three types of options, image, text and image/text together.  With Adsense, you can set keywords for each ad that you create.

Who should I trust more?

I would definitely say Google.  Google has been around the block for a long time.  Adbrite only been around since 2006.  Google Adsense is a more trusted site to choose from.  Just by having the “Google Ads” at the bottom orto of every ad will provide a sense of trust.  Ads by Adsense are cleaner and better looking than the ads displayed by Adbrite.
At this time I have never used Adbrite, may I ever not sure.  But for now I’m comfortable using Google Adsense for now.

I hope this article “Adbrite vs Adsense” was useful for you.  As you know I prefer using Adsense, only because it’s save and Google Adsense has more flexibility within your site.

What is adbrite

What is adbrite

What is adbrite

What is adbrite?  It’s a platform that allows you to be listed on targeted publishers, these publishers are looking for successful sites where they can place profitable ads on.  For example, if you have a site that is about “Hockey” and you want the publisher to place there ad on your site, the ad most be relevant to your site.  If the publishers ads are about “hockey equipment” than you can consider using adbrite. Adbrite will consider your site if you keep the site and ads on the same niche.  The creator of adbrite will take a small percentage between the publisher and your site.  Not exactly sure how much adbrite creator will take, but I guess he has to take a share too.

How does adbrite work?

There are three types of ads publishers provide, and they are:

  1. Banner & Text Ads
  2. Inline Ads
  3. Full Page Ads

More on, What is adbrite?

So there are three types to choose from, the advertiser will go through the site, there is an option where to place an advertisement ad to display.  The ads is displayed to visitors in between the pages.
Below is a brief description on all the three options.

Full Page Ads
Full page ads is the least used on sites among the three.  Full page ads gets displayed between the pages of your site.  It’s like a Tv commercial where content is put in the middle of the show.

Inline Ads
If you ever used Infolinks or kontera it’s kinda like them.  Inline Ads are most innovative.  Words in the content of your website will get underlined twice and hyperlinked.  Then when the visitor hover over the word, the contentad will pop up. Clicking on the ad will lead the visitor to the advertisement site.

Banner & Text Ads
This option is most widely used.  The banner ads are usually images, text, and sometimes has the company logo on it.  Banner and text ads can be displayed anywhere on your site.  It’s one of the simplest ads you can
put on your site and is highly reliable.

I hope this article “What is adbrite” was useful in choosing to use AdBrite or not.  Good luck and keep making money.

Starting Google Adsense

Starting Google Adsense

Starting Google Adsense

Starting Google Adsense.  I started monetizing my blog after 2 months of hard work.  After 2 months, I created an account with Google Adsense and started placing ads on my blog.  My Google earnings grew overtime, the excitement of earning money online became a reality.  After a few months into Google Adsense, I was slowly on my way of earning my first $100 from google adsense.  A few days later, I went to my blog to place another article.  And what I seen was Public Service  Advertisements ads(PSA).  I went directly to my Google account and found out that there was notice showing.  “Your pages are displaying Public Service Advertisements (PSAs) because you haven’t yet verified your PIN and/or phone number. See the Payment History page for more details”.  Unfortunatly I didn’t receive my Pin(Personal Identification Number).  Now my account was on hold till I receive my verification pin in the mail.  three weeks went by and I finally received mail from Google Adsense.  I placed the code in my account and I was back in business.

Why a PIN is required?
Google sends you a PIN to your payment address which you’ve provided during Adsense registration.  Google wants to verify that you are the account owner before sending out cheques out to you. When you receive the PIN, you must submit it to your Google Adsense Account in order to get paid.  Once they receive the correct Pin, it means that your contact information is accurate and they can issue you pay-checks at the verified address.

What is the irritating part of Adsense?
The worse thing when becoming a new Adsense member, is when you account is on hold.  You are not earning any earnings and you have to wait tell that PIN comes in the mail.  I never thought of checking this out on my account.  I was to busy placing ads on my blog and writing new articles.  That’s why you should always read all the material on any site before joining.

How to avoid payment hold?
When your account reaches $10 Verification Threshold, google adsense will send you a postal mail.  The postal mail will contain your PIN which you must submit it to your Adsense account.
Google Adsense will only send you your Pin through postal mail three times.  They will not send another, you have to send them a digital copy of a valid address.  Before they will activate your adsense account.  Once they have the proof they will activate your account. If your new too Adsense, this is a fair warning.  Don’t wait until your account is put on hold.  React quickly and you will not lose any earnings.

Good luck and react quickly.  I hope this article “Starting Google Adsense” was useful for you and hopefully it will make you extra money from home.

Monetize Your Website

Monetize Your Website

Monetize Your Website

How to monetize your website or blog? In this article on how to monetize your website, is targeted for webmasters that developed enough traffic to their website or blog.  There are two types of targeted traffic.

way to monetize your website is to use PPC programs like Google Adsense, Infolinks and Chitika.  There is another way to monetize your website, that is with affiliate programs.  Affiliate programs would be great if you have high traffic to your site.  If your starting out then PPC programs would be great for you.  PPC networks like Google Adsense will automatically detect content on your web page, than it calculates what kind of traffic your page might have and shows relevant ads on your web page.

Best Way to Monetize Your Website

The best way to monetize your website properly is to use more than one PPC program.  Google Adsense don’t like getting mixed up with other similar programs, but using PPC programs like Infolinks and Chitika will help you earn more revenue.  And yes, Google Adsense allows having Infolinks and Chitika on the same page.  I use Infolinks on my blog, it has brought my revenue up dramatically.  Personally, I don’t think your earning will decrease while using Infolinks.
If you integrate Infolinks properly, then it won’t affect with Google Adsense earnings.  You can restrict Infolinks text advertisement only in areas that Adsense are not displayed.  You can change this under your Infolinks account.

Their are some webmasters that use Google Adsense, Infolinks and Chitika on the same website.  I didn’t try it myself yet but I might give it a try.  When placing your PPC ads, make sure you place them on each and every page of your site, don’t stick ads in the corner.  They will never be clicked on.  Your CTR is influenced by ads placement, so try positioning your ads in different areas of your site.

I hope this article “Monetize Your Website” will help you make some money for your hard work.
